Ms. Samples has over 20 years of hands-on
experience in computer-aided design and drafting technology. Beginning as a microelectronics designer in aerospace, and moving through various
user and management roles, she has been involved in all aspects of CADD system planning, migration, deployment, support, and training.
Ms. Samples is directly responsible for
planning, piloting, and rolling-out the first 3D computer-aided design and modeling system for the City of Los Angeles' Bureau of Engineering.
Always a forward thinker, and urging her
clients to move to the next level of productivity, Ms. Samples played an active roll in the the City of L.A.'s Environmental Engineering
Division's successful effort to distribute major construction projects on CDROM. Significant cost savings to the City, and immediate
acceptance by bidders resulted in the Division receiving Los Angeles' annual inter-departmental productivity award.
It is easy to see why, under Ms. Samples'
direction, CADSTAR has had the honor of being twice nominated for the Mayor of Los Angeles’ “Small Business of the Year” Award.
